Christmas was the best!
Being together with my family, decorating the Christmas tree together, baking cookies and wrapping presents. We were eating, singing and listening to Christmas music, everything together.
It was a wonderful time, remembering the love and warmth we were given by our close ones. That was earlier in my childhood.
Today, it seems to me, it is quite different.
There is time pressure and stress to get the gifts in time, to cook the food and decorate the house magnificently.
It's all about consumption. You only wish for a fancy, expensive gift, eat exquisite food and drink only the best. It becomes more detached from the actual meaning of the holiday; To celebrate the charity and love.
That's why I've decided to celebrate Christmas this year from my childhood and not just to consume as much as possible.
In this sense: Merry, contemplative, quiet Christmas!
