Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, the green city. Arriving there, we walked through the famous big park. Made with love to the detail and filled with art and history, it is worth a visit.
Then, leaving the park behind, we entered the town center: Old buildings, the triple bridge, a riverside full with cafes, bars and restaurants. And in the back, high on the top of the hill, the Ljubljana castle. We decided to take the cable car up to the castle, you could also walk up there.
After we could not find the famous dragon that is said to be living in the castle, we climbed the castles tower and witnessed the beautiful sunset and the view over Ljubljana. After that, we visited some of the numerous exhibitions displayed in the castle, before heading back to the hotel. On our way back we could find a few dragons, standing on the dragon bridge.
Ljubljana is a small, charming town, that is very welcoming and guest friendly. The locals sure do know how to impress with hospitality and charm.
